So this is an odd week for me, and the listing below will show that. I only saw one movie, and it was on purpose. I was gonna rewatch Zack Snyders filmography to lead up to Batman v Superman. But when the carpet bomb of hate started to come out about the movie, I just got tired. Getting excited about a movie for 3 years and expecting the worst near the finish line just broke me. Having seen the movie and liking it, I should be over that feeling. But I’m not. The never ending deluge of comic book based movies/tv and the constant news breaking about them, I just need a break. My brain is tired keeping up with it all. So I took a break from movies, aside from the new release, as a breather. And for a while, expect lower key movies that aren’t big budget spectacles for a while. Cause while my comic book reading isn’t done (there’s something pure about comics in that form), comic book movies are out of my head for a while as are blockbusters. Maybe by the time Civil War comes out I’ll have fully detoxed. Or maybe not. But for now, expect to see a range from Cassavettes to Kurosawa to other foreign stuff and B movies released on Scream/Shout Factory.
